It's Happening!

Recently, it was announced that Micheal Douglas (Mr. Ex-Zeta-Jones) was cast as Hank Pym which immediately made the nerd community go "WHAT?" then go "OHHHH" because now we get an idea as to what Edger Wright is planning. Hank Pym, in the comic book, is the creator of the Pym Particle that dealt with spatial manipulation and the headgear on the suit that allows him to command ants (doesn't sound cool yet but it will). Aside from his genius he also has a bit of darkness attached to him involving feelings of inadequacy that often led to poor decisions (like beating his wife). Enter Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) as a thief who steals the Ant-Man suit to rob places to pay for his daughters cancer treatment. Here we have a great setting for an Edger Wright movie based on what we know. So given his history as a writer and director I for one am completely excited to see what he will do especially after what he did with the action pieces from Scott Pilgrim and Hot Fuzz. Not to mention the exciting character dynamics between Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo and Paul Rudd that we will get to see in a future Avengers film. The best thing any of us could do right now would be to try to put ourselves in a self induced coma so the wait won't be so unbearable.
