Late to the Party TV Review: An Idiot Abroad.
I recently have dived head first into watching An Idiot Abroad and if you were a fan of Karl Pilkington from Ricky Gervais's radio show then you will love this. The concept of this show is to send Karl to far off destinations and watch him get annoyed at the beauty of the world and it's absolute genius. I often found myself relating to Karl in these different countries in being annoyed by the traditions and sleeping conditions. Ricky Gervais and Stephan Merchant have carefully constructed trips that would be dreams for anyone but awful for Karl. Watching him stash food he likes in his luggage so he doesn't have to eat the food in the region was fun to see. Personally, I've always wanted to travel to places and see wonders of the world but this show really put travel in perspective for me. Not that I'd be some kind of unappreciative douche nozzle but there really is so much shut you can take before you get all "I want my bed and my TV and I just want to be home". I feel for you on that, Karl. If you like to see new cultures and get a different viewing travel then you can check this out on Netflix.
