Fox News vs Star Wars (really)
Fox News has cast the first stone. They hate the Star Wars property and this video is clearly stating that. I will warn you now before you watch this that you will feel a lot of anger and that's okay because these are not real people and they are just on your phone and computer. They do not exist outside of this studio.
Am I blowing this out of proportion? Of course I am because it has something to do with Fox News. The only "news" station that would question actual world peace.
20th Century Fox is apparently bitter about losing distribution rights of its only profitable franchise and decided to run this story about how hyping Star Wars has gotten out of hand.
Even the guy that's supposed to be defending the franchise can't make any good points because he's ganged up on by the host and Carly Shimkus (her last name sounds like a Star Wars name so here is a equally stupid hashtag name for her #JarJarShimkus ).
It's not my place to say if a movie is good based on some trailers and a couple of photographs but i can still be excited for it and watching this i kind of felt like i was wrong for being excited. This "report" is basically saying that it's a bad thing that a lot of people are looking forward to enjoying a movie because some people don't like it. Right? how many other things have been like that over the years? When another young adult type of nonsense movie comes out you better be on board and have an opinion on it because it is important and they make money.
Well this movie will be making money and Fox knows it. This is right up there with the nut jobs who think Star Wars is leaving out the white man by casting a more diverse cast (a better cast). Why can't we all just be honest to ourselves and let this cinematic tradition wash over us and enjoy it as a planet?
