7 days of al: BONUS AL

Ok so the week gimmick of Weird Al is done.  We did a finale everyone one loved it.  Anyways.  It is Rare for us to break our normal iron tight routine but I had to cheat to announce to our fans.

After more than 30 years on the charts, "Weird Al" has his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200

I repeat Mandatory Fun is the #1 Billboard chart Album.  

Congrats to AL!

Also this is the first comedy set to top the chart since 1963 (Allan Sherman's "My Son, the Nut" )

Mandatory Fun also logged the largest sales week for a comedy album since 1994. (The Beavis & Butt-Head Experience")

This is a pretty big deal and we here at BrokeBlog are convinced it was due to our "7 Days Of Al" Campaign so you know, you are welcome AL!
